The site is now Fort Matilda playing fields home of Greenock Wanderers.The Navy Buildings are behind thr trees.

i am appalled that this is now used for a playing field. my father, who died in the navy, helped build these navy buildings, and now thye are used for playing fields! i am DISGUSTED. appalled. disgraced.

it could be that the "Disgusted" chap's direction is a little out. The navy buildings are just as the were more or less during the war and are virtually untouched. The camp seems to South of Eldon St and north of Newton and Octavia St. Am I correct ?
